New Portable Nintendo 64

there are only three components you need to make a N64 Portable: the actual N64, a screen, and a battery. Oddly enough, even though you plug your regular N64 into the wall to play, the system itself actually only takes about 8v to run. This makes the battery portion of the project extremely easy, because just about any portable DVD player battery will do. The screen itself is actually easy, because there are many tiny screens out there that take audio and video input, that run at about 8v as well, and that is exactly what you need.

There are many other things that you need to do in order to get a Portable N64 working, but the concept itself is pretty simple. The reason I took on this project is I love to build things, and I love working with electronics. I am a future engineer, and I feel that this has definitely been a good project to prepare me for my future career. It is true that there are some wiring diagrams that can be found for this sort of thing online, but the majority of this project has been completed through trial and error. And now, I have come so far to get this finally working and finished that I couldn’t be more happy with the results.
